— Overview
《重返林業現場》是農業部林業及自然保育署臺中分署在大雪山國家森林遊樂區遊客中心精心打造的常設主題展覽。本展覽透過五大特色情境，帶領遊客穿梭時空，深刻感受大雪山從日治時期、美援工業化到現代生態保育的百年華麗轉身。展覽內部透過精緻的木質調空間與動植物插畫，打造出充滿山林氛圍的沉浸式展場， 展覽五大特色情境：
林業歷史：入口重現曾服役於大雪山林場的集材機，並展出 1959 年大雪山林業公司時期的美規卡車運材照片與珍貴伐木工具。
森林守護：實體展示當代森林護管員（巡山員）的重型裝備，並透過紀實影片訴說山防、搶救森林火災的驚險故事。
賞鳥聖地：大雪山以鳥類生態聞名，現場除展示常見特有種鳥類標本，更結合數位 App 供遊客互動學習。
有熊森林：深入介紹台灣黑熊在大雪山山林的棲地環境與保育成果。
植物世界：模擬植物研究員的工作區，依海拔由低到高陳列大雪山的豐富林相與苔蘚標本。
" Rediscover Dasyueshan" is a meticulously crafted permanent themed exhibition presented by the Taichung Branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture. Located at the Dasyueshan National Forest Recreation Area Visitor Center, the exhibition features an exquisite, wood-toned spatial design paired with detailed flora and fauna illustrations, creating an immersive atmosphere that brings the mountain forest indoors.
Through five distinct scenarios, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through time to experience Dasyueshan's magnificent century-long transformation—evolving from the Japanese colonial period and US-aided industrialization to modern ecological conservation.
The Five Themed Scenarios
Forestry History-
The entrance features a recreation of a historical yarder (log cable-skidding machine) that once operated at the Dasyueshan Logging Station. This section also displays rare vintage logging tools alongside historical photographs of US-spec trucks transporting timber during the Dasyueshan Forestry Corporation era in 1959.
Forest Protection-
This zone showcases the actual heavy equipment and gear used by contemporary forest rangers (mountain patrollers). Through gripping documentary footage, it tells the thrilling stories of mountain defense and hazardous forest fire rescue missions.
Birdwatching Sanctuary-
Dasyueshan is world-renowned for its vibrant avian ecology. In addition to showcasing taxidermy specimens of common endemic bird species, this area integrates a digital app that allows visitors to engage in interactive learning.
The Bear Forest-
An in-depth look into the habitat of the Formosan black bear within the Dasyueshan mountain range, highlighting key ecological traits and recent conservation milestones.
The Plant World-
Simulating the workspace of a botanical researcher, this section displays Dasyueshan's rich forest profiles and moss specimens, beautifully arranged in sequence from low to high elevation.
