《啟動•綠空1908》Taiwan connection 1908主題展是2018年配合台中舊城新生博覽會舉辦的城市願景特展。展覽以台中舊火車站與第一月台為舞台，圍繞著鐵路高架化後，百年舊鐵道土堤翻轉為全台首座空中綠色廊帶的宏大藍圖。展名中的「1908」象徵台灣縱貫鐵路全線通車、台中邁向現代化都市的歷史起點。展覽透過動態的沙盤光雕、景觀模型與珍貴的鐵道文獻，不僅重現了台中的百年風華，更向市民具體勾勒出「綠空鐵道」將古蹟與現代休閒結合的未來容貌。展期內更串聯了「月台沙龍」、文創市集，並邀請茄子蛋、拍謝少年等獨立樂團進行跨界音樂會。這場展覽成功以藝術與音樂活化舊站空間，是台中舊城再生極具里程碑意義的先導願景盛事。
Activating Overpass 1908: Taiwan Connection 1908 Thematic Exhibition was a city vision special exhibition held in 2018 in conjunction with the Taichung Old Town Regeneration Expo. Using the Taichung Old Railway Station and Platform 1 as its stage, the exhibition centered around the grand blueprint of transforming the century-old railway embankment into Taiwan's first elevated green corridor following the railway elevation project.
The "1908" in the exhibition title symbolizes the full opening of the Taiwan Trunk Railway line and the historical starting point of Taichung’s transition into a modernized city. Through dynamic sandbox projection mapping, landscape models, and precious railway archives, the exhibition not only reproduced the century-old elegance of Taichung but also concretely outlined the future appearance of the "Overpass Railway," which integrates historical monuments with modern leisure, for the citizens.
During the exhibition period, it further connected the "Platform Salon" and cultural and creative markets, while inviting independent bands such as EggPlantEgg and Sorry Youth for cross-genre concerts. This exhibition successfully revitalized the old station space through art and music, serving as a milestone pilot vision event for the regeneration of Taichung's old town.
