這是藝術家阿部乳坊「旅人系列」中第四件雕塑作品，旅人系列作品探訪過歷史山城、平靜的稻田、充滿生命力的臨海小島，每一次的旅行，旅人都與自然、天空、大樹、居民、野生動物和流動時光靜靜的相處，如今，旅人到了新竹香山。

This is the fourth sculpture in artist Abe Nyubo’s "The Traveler Series." The series has previously explored historic mountain towns, serene rice fields, and vibrant coastal islands. With every journey, the traveler quietly spends time with nature, the sky, towering trees, local residents, wildlife, and the passing of time. Now, the traveler has arrived in Siangshan, Hsinchu.

香山濕地有著豐富的自然資源，在地居民及攝影師以相異的媒材和視角，呈現相同與不同的「我與香山」。攝影師王阿福所創作的《過去蚵田裡Into The Oyster Farm》系列，記錄美山社區的養蚵人家，從柏油路、沙灘、潮間帶，利用各式交通工具移動、運送蚵。不論柴油車碾壓沙灘無數次產生的胎痕，竹筏驅趕水流逐漸獨立的通道，亦或人的步伐，踩踏在蚵田間形成較厚實，且易於站立土壤，養蚵人用歲月及交通工具，刻畫潮汐和風雨也難無法抹去的紋理。

Interweaving Perspectives on Siangshan The Siangshan Wetland is blessed with abundant natural resources. Here, local residents and photographers utilize different mediums and perspectives to present their shared yet unique connections in the theme "Siangshan and I." The Textured Legacy of the Oyster Farm In the photography series "Into The Oyster Farm" by photographer Wang A-fu, the lens captures the oyster-farming families of the Meishan community. It documents their journey across asphalt roads, sandy beaches, and the intertidal zone, utilizing various modes of transportation to move and transport oysters. Whether it is the tire tracks pressed into the sand by diesel trucks countless times, the isolated channels carved through the water by bamboo rafts, or the heavy, steady footprints left by farmers stepping through the mud to find firm footing, these details tell a story. Through years of labor and transit, the oyster farmers have etched lines into the landscape—textures that neither the passing tides nor the coastal winds can wash away.

新竹因香山港繁榮成庄，百年天后宮護民興旺，舊時更有海水漲潮至宮門前，地方回味無窮。黑生起司 HEY SHENG 設計團隊以「海浪的痕跡」為設計發想概念，創作現地街道家具裝置藝術：The Rising Tide，材質以金屬烤漆海浪色系：深藍、淺藍、白色三色，交錯連綿自成景，座腳造型來自觀察退潮後，潮間帶意象：礁岩，連結紋理情感記憶。

A Historic Port and its Sacred Guardian Hsinchu first flourished as a bustling settlement thanks to the prosperity of the Siangshan Port, with the century-old Tianhou Temple serving as a steadfast guardian of its people. In the old days, the rising tides would wash right up to the temple's front gates—a nostalgic memory that locals still recall with great fondness. Street Furniture Inspired by the Sea Drawing inspiration from "the traces of ocean waves," the design team at HEY SHENG Design crafted a site-specific street furniture installation titled The Rising Tide. The piece features painted metal in a palette of oceanic hues—deep blue, light blue, and white—interweaving seamlessly to form a continuous, striking landscape. The structure's legs are inspired by observations of the intertidal zone after the water recedes, mimicking the form of coastal reefs to evoke a deep, textural connection to local emotional memories.

香山天后宮為當地出海人祈求平安順利的重要信仰，同時也涵養了香山的土地、人文及生態產業。透過平安符的重新設計與詮釋，期待能從中感受更多故事及祝福。 平安符以天后宮建築特色結合環境意象為設計理念，將三川殿屋脊與媽祖頭飾巧妙融合，同時保留其入口特別的螺紋抱鼓石及濕地生態的鮮明元素，搭配背景的浪花圖騰，整體展現專屬香山的想像與能量。

A Guardian of the Coast and Community The Siangshan Tianhou Temple stands as a vital spiritual sanctuary where local seafarers pray for safety and smooth journeys. Over the decades, it has nurtured the land, culture, and ecological industries of the Siangshan region. By redesigning and reinterpreting the traditional Ping-An (blessing) amulet, this project aims to invite people to connect deeply with the rich stories and blessings woven into the area. Design Concepts Inspired by Sacred Architecture The visual concept of the amulet blends the architectural character of the Tianhou Temple with the essence of its natural surroundings. The design skillfully merges the elegant roof ridge of the Sanchuan Hall with Mazu’s traditional headdress. It preserves iconic local elements—such as the unique spiral-carved drum stones (Baogushi) at the temple entrance and vibrant cues from the wetland ecosystem—all set against a backdrop of stylized ocean waves. Together, these details capture a distinct energy and imagination exclusive to Siangshan.

這是一個潮汐捕捉計畫。地球上水體的規律性高度變化稱之為潮汐。主要由月球，地球及太陽相對重力作用所引起，由於月球離地球較近，月球對潮汐漲落的效應大約為太陽的兩倍。 台灣西部地區沿海，因地形較於平緩的緣故，造成海水漲退面積更大，潮間帶面積也較廣闊。香山這塊土地所處的地點，潮汐的變化使這裡有時是海有時是陸地，而產生豐富的生態資源，從地圖上可以觀察到實際的陸地與圖上的形狀面積不太相同，這裡的地貌屬於不固定的狀態，這裡的生態環境就在這樣漲退之間不斷的循環，日復一日，年復一年。 以定置漁網做為概念，藉由看似無意義的潮汐捕捉計畫，去感受我們在這個宇宙所受的作用力。

The Mechanics of the Tides This is a tide-catching project. The regular rise and fall of Earth's water bodies is what we call tides. This phenomenon is primarily driven by the relative gravitational forces of the Moon, Earth, and Sun. Because the Moon is much closer to Earth, its gravitational influence on the tides is roughly twice as strong as the Sun's. The Shifting Landscape of Siangshan Along Taiwan's western coast, the relatively flat terrain allows the seawater to submerge and expose vast areas during the tidal cycle, creating an expansive intertidal zone. In the region of Siangshan, these tidal fluctuations mean that this land alternates between being sea and being shore, nurturing incredibly rich ecological resources. Observing a map reveals that the actual physical shoreline differs from its drawn shape and area; the topography here remains in a state of perpetual flux. The local ecosystem thrives within this continuous cycle of ebb and flow—day after day, year after year. Capturing the Invisible Forces Drawing conceptual inspiration from fixed fishing nets, this seemingly futile "tide-catching project" invites us to pause and perceive the invisible cosmic forces that constantly act upon us in this universe.

此次藝術家劉致宏以鹽水公園過去濱海為圖像化發想，將一波波浪潮湧上岸際的漸層彩繪意象，連結球場上、公園裡的孩子們追逐跑跳，營造一處踏浪、逐浪與擁浪的場域，溫柔包覆，同時也更加認識了這塊土地的過去與現在。

For this project, artist Liu Chih-hung drew visual inspiration from Yanshui Park’s coastal past. By using gradient painted graphics to mimic the imagery of waves rolling onto the shore, the installation mirrors the energy of children chasing, running, and jumping across the sports court and park grounds. A Space to Embrace the Waves The design creates an inviting space where visitors can figuratively step into, chase, and embrace the waves—wrapped in a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. At the same time, it invites the community to deepen their understanding of the land's rich past and evolving present.

藝術家范承宗向創作基地所棲息的自然動物建築師學習牠們的築巢方式，並以人類的構築材料與技藝詮釋，致敬存在牠們血液中、寫在土地裡、沒有教學天生就會的精采本能。 本次在香山濕地的創作，根據賞鳥區的生態特色，其豐富的生態環境吸引了候鳥進駐，一年四季裡有著大量的鷺科、燕科、文鳥科等鳥種出沒之外，秋冬交接時，還有數量可觀的雁鴨科鳥種。於此，他搭建了一座鳥巢裝置，歡迎人們走入其中歇息片刻，透過如鳥在巢的視角與體感，提醒著人們對濕地生態保育的關注。

Option 1: Clean & Engaging Learning from Nature's Architects Artist Feng Cheng-tsung draws inspiration from the animal architects that inhabit his creative sites, studying their unique nest-building techniques. Reinterpreting these forms using human building materials and craftsmanship, he pays tribute to the incredible instinct carried in their blood and inscribed in the land—a brilliant, innate talent that requires no instruction. A Bird's-Eye Perspective on Conservation This site-specific installation at the Siangshan Wetland is shaped by the unique ecological traits of the local bird-watching area. The rich environment serves as a vital sanctuary for migratory birds; throughout the seasons, it hosts a large variety of egrets, swallows, and mannikins, while the transition from autumn to winter brings an impressive abundance of wild ducks and geese. Here, the artist has constructed a large-scale bird's nest installation, inviting visitors to step inside and rest a while. By experiencing the space through the physical sensation and perspective of a bird in its nest, the piece gently reminds us of the vital importance of wetland conservation.
